Vector Engineering Services Ltd. was established in 1960 under the direction of Walter Leong, P.Eng., and specialized in municipal infrastructure design and project management services. In 1977 the company was purchased by the firm’s manager, Richard Margetson, AScT, CA, CPWI 3 and Mr. Edwin Brett, P.Eng., who was employed as the design engineer for the District of Maple Ridge. In 1990 Richard Margetson purchased all shares and assumed the role of President and General Manager retaining Ed Brett as a Review Engineer.
Vic Sagorski, AScT, a former employee, returned to the firm in June of 1992 to supervise and direct company personnel and take charge of all land development projects. Vic Sagorski is now an associate of the firm.
Our firm continues to grow, providing municipal infrastructure, survey, design and construction management for land development and capital works projects throughout the Lower Mainland. The success of the company is evident in the numerous completed capital works and land development projects in Burnaby, Richmond, Coquitlam, Delta, Langley, New Westminster, North Vancouver, Maple Ridge, Mission, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Surrey, West Vancouver. We also provide services for projects located in Whistler, Squamish, Lillooet, Logan Lake, 100 Mile House, Haida Gwaii, Pemberton, Chilliwack, and the Okanagan. Vector Engineering Services Ltd. prides itself in having created a dedicated team of twenty-five professional and support staff providing unparalleled civil engineering consulting services.
Our firm has considerable experience in design and construction services for public and private sector projects. In addition, we have extensive experience in the design and monitoring of stormwater management, sediment control and sustainable/LEED projects in environmentally sensitive drainage systems within the Lower Mainland. We have a competence in the design of stormwater management using various modelling programs including the intergovernmental Water Balance Model for British Columbia ,HYDSYS and SWMM (SewerGEMS).
